Murad Multi-Vitamin Clear Coat Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ FAQ's
SKINCARE
What does SPF 50 mean?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and indicates the amount of protection a sunscreen offers against UVB (Ultraviolet B) rays. An SPF rating indicates the length of time the sunscreen applied to your skin will protect you from the harmful radiation from the sun. If a sunscreen has an SPF rating of 50, in theory, it would take 50 times longer to burn than if you didn't wear sunscreen.
What is PA++++ Sunscreen?
PA in sunscreen refers to the Protection Grade of UVA (Ultraviolet A). PA+ is a measurement of how well a sunscreen is in its ability to block UVA rays. For example, a product with PA++++ protects you 16 times more from UVA rays than if you had none of the product applied.
How long does SPF 50 last?
While SPF 50 gives your skin 50 times more protection than with no sunscreen, it is still important to reapply every 1-2 hours to ensure full coverage.
Should I apply sunscreen before or after moisturiser?
The rule of thumb is that sunscreen should always be applied last to maximise its sun-protective capabilities.
What do antioxidants do for skin?
They help to protect us against free radical damage, such as UV exposure. They can reduce inflammation, help the skin repair itself and prevent or slow down cell ageing.
