What Is The Obagi NuDerm System?
The Obagi Nu-Derm System® is a seven-piece skincare set made to address skin issues and concerns such as discoloration, hyperpigmentation as well as age spots, melasma and uneven skin tone. Additionally, it can help reduce other ageing skin symptoms including fine lines and wrinkles and smooth out rough skin texture.
We know that skincare products do not work for every skin type that is why there are two variations of the Obagi Nu-Derm System, one for normal to oily skin and the other for normal to dry skin. So whatever your skin type, the NuDerm System may work for you.
The Perfect New Year Skincare Routine
Using the Obagi Nu-Derm system you can have your very own before and after skin transformation. It is a system designed to help your skin over the course of 16 weeks to transform and renew.
How To Use The Nu-Derm System
The Nu-Derm system should last for 16 weeks. In certain cases your practitioner may require you to stay on the system for 18 or even 24 weeks. Here are the steps you should follow to get the most out of the Nu-Derm system and your skin.
Step 1
Start by cleansing your face with the Obagi Nu-Derm Gentle Cleanser®, this is great for normal to dry skin as it is a mild cleanser or the Obagi Nu-Derm Foaming Gel®, this is a great gel-based cleanser for combination skin.
Step 2
After cleansing apply the Nu-Derm Toner®, this helps to balance your skin’s natural pH levels and revitalise your skin, removing excess sebum.
Step 3
Apply Nu-Derm Clear Fx® twice a day, once during your morning routine and again at night. This product lightens the skin, helping to reduce and clear melasma, dark spots and sun damage. The formulation contains 7% arbutin, this ingredient prevents tyrosinase activity, which in turn prevents the formation of melanin - creating a more even skin tone, without the use of harsh bleaches.
Step 4
Exfoliate your skin with the Obagi Nu-Derm Exfoderm® only once a day, during your morning routine. This helps to buff and exfoliate dead skin cells away using lactic acid and glycolic acid, to reveal glowing new skin cells.
Step 5
Apply Nu-Derm Blender Fx® only once a day, during your nighttime routine and helps to reduce the appearance of sun damage and hyperpigmentation, creating a more even skin tone.
Step 6
Moisturise with Nu-Derm Hydrate® as needed during either your morning or nighttime routine. Obagi Hydrate has been formulated to protect your skin against dehydration for up to 8 hours as well as helping to reduce the signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. It will improve your skin’s appearance whilst leaving it feeling healthy and hydrated.
Step 7
Once you've completed your morning routine, protect your skin from the sun by applying Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50®. This helps defend your skin against the sun's UVA and UVB rays helping to prevent sun damage.
